Cryosticks – Contra-indications

The Face Rituals include the use of cryosticks.

  • Surgery in the last 6 weeks
  • Chronic migraine as the cold can trigger symptoms
  • Under blood thinners medication or have clotting disorders
  • Conditions affecting skin, veins or blood
  • Infection, implants (such as pacemaker, internal defibrillator)
  • Severe medical conditions (may require medical approval), included diabetes, hepatites, epilepsy, auto-immune disorders
  • Active acne, wounds, eczema, any skin irritation
  • Skin sensitive to cold compress or similar
  • Not histamine 48h before the treatment and 24 hours after.
  • Not under medications such us: appetite supressant, chemotherapy, cycloxygenase inibitors (Voltarol), immunosopressants (oral steroids), NSAIs (ibuprofen, brufen, aspirin), anticoagulant

LED Light Therapy – Contra-indications

  • Surgery in the last 6 weeks (depending on the surgery, may require medical approval)
  • Under cortison injections
  • Severe medical conditions (may require medical approval)
  • Cancer
  • Epilepsy
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Botox and fillers (wait 5 days before booking)
  • If you had any skin treatment consult your aesthetician/beautician before booking
  • If you use Retinol in your skincare routine avoid to use it on the day of the treatment
  • If under medications causing photosensitivity, consult your doctor before booking. The following are as a guideline: Antipsychotic Chlorpromazine – wait 8 days from last dose before booking. Anti-fungal Griseofulvin – wait 5 days from last dose before booking. Anti-acne Isotretinoin/Accutane – wait 6 months from last dose before booking. Antibiotics Tetracycline’s – wait 5 days from last dose before booking. Anti-acne Tretinoin – can have LED Terapy as long as is used only at night. Anti-arthritis and Anti-cancer Methotrexate – wait 3 days from the last dose before booking. Anti-arythmic Amiodarone– only under physician’s written permission.
