Holistic Facial Disclaimer
All of my facials and holistic skincare treatments are designed to support skin health, encourage balance and promote relaxation and wellbeing. My approach combines holistic facial massage, traditional skincare techniques and personalised aftercare guidance to create a nurturing space where you can relax while caring for your skin.
Please note that my holistic facials are not medical or clinical treatments, and I do not diagnose, treat or claim to cure skin conditions. This includes conditions such as acne, dermatitis, rosacea, hyperpigmentation or other persistent or medical skin concerns. These may require assessment and treatment within a clinical setting by a qualified dermatologist or an advanced aesthetic practitioner.
My approach to skincare is intentionally simple, gentle and supportive. Rather than approaching the skin as something that needs to be fixed, I believe in working with the skin, listening to its needs and allowing it to be cared for with patience and respect.
My facials are not centred around correcting imperfections or pursuing dramatic cosmetic changes. They are an invitation to enjoy the process of caring for yourself and your skin — through touch, relaxation, mindful facial massage, nourishing skincare and simple guidance that you can take into your everyday life.
I do not approach facial treatments from a purely aesthetic perspective. My work is rooted in a holistic philosophy, where caring for the skin is connected with relaxation, touch, wellbeing and creating a moment of space for yourself.
My holistic facials are particularly suited to those who wish to combine relaxation and mindful self-care with supportive skincare, rather than seeking drastic cosmetic changes. They are also intended for clients who do not have specific medical or dermatological conditions requiring clinical treatment.
If your individual needs or personal goals may fall outside the scope of my training and practice as well as I feel that your skin would benefit from a different level of care, a specific technique, or clinical assessment, I will always be honest with you and recommend that you seek support from an appropriately qualified advanced aesthetician or dermatologist. This is part of my commitment to caring for your skin responsibly.
My facials use traditional, non-electrical methods of treatment and extraction. I do not use electrical modalities, including desincrustation (an electrical technique used to help loosen sebum and facilitate the removal of stubborn blackheads). If I feel that this type of treatment would be more appropriate for the extraction, I will recommend that you consult an appropriately qualified practitioner who provides this service.
The intention of my holistic approach is not to “fix” your skin or treat a condition, but to create a space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself and enjoy caring for your skin. Your treatment is an opportunity for relaxation, mindful touch and supportive skincare, with any guidance provided intended as holistic skincare advice rather than medical or dermatological advice.
